I thought the world Would slow down when I got older But it only seems to be picking up pace Sometimes I wish these moments would move slower Seems like the times that are the nicest Quickly end and fade away Another seasons gone it's getting colder Well there’s no place in the world I’d rather be And The leaves fall down but the trees keeps getting older Well I’m passed the age my parents were when they gave birth to me Well I’m passed the age my parents were when they created me I am older now and so are my friends Some have families, and some have wound up dead It’s such a fragile existence that we live You could wake up one day and everybody’s gone You could wake up one day and see that you were.. Gone, gone, gone, you were gone, gone, gone I don’t really feel like I’m much older Seems like yesterday I was turning seventeen Now a days I know that I am closer I’m past half the age of the average life expectancy And It’s hard to see a memory in the moment But the more time passes, the more they fade away The good ones they get lost as we outgrow them Well I’m passed the age your parents were when they went separate ways Well I’m passed the age your parents were when they went separate ways I’ve grown older now and so have my friends Some have families some have wound up dead It’s such a fragile existence that we live You could wake up one day and everybody’s gone You could wake up one day and see that you were gone You were drowning, You were nowhere fading You were grounded, You were only waiting Bababababadada you were breaking In half another adderall, You were shaking Caffeine mixed with too much alcohol You were spinning lies I am older now and so are my friends Some have families, some have wound up dead It’s such a cruel existence that we live You could wake up one day and everybody’s gone You could wake up one day and see that you were gone

It gets hard trying to remember It’s hard enough just to pretend All my life I fought to surrender But I don’t remember, if this is how it ends I’m not gonna be there when the floor falls out beneath you I’m not gonna be there when your world collapses again I’m not going to be there When your time is up to defeat you How could I defeat you if I am trying to win And This bright light is condescending And This bright light can’t escape With all this light, The night sky is never ending But I can’t tell where the tunnel meets the light Did you wake up when your fever broke in the morning? Your body aches like it’s been cursed You thought you’d be feeling better off tomorrow But tomorrow came and you feel the same but worse I’m not gonna be there when the floor falls out beneath you I’m not gonna be there when your world collapses again I’m not going to be there when your time is up to defeat you How could I defeat you if I wasn’t trying to win And this bright light is condescending And this bright light you can’t escape With all this light, The night skies never ending But I can’t tell if this tunnel sealed my fate Oh I can’t tell if this your free free will or is it fate Oh What does it take, If only that night I would’ve gone straight home Oh What a mistake, I Never would’ve left If I had known Would anything be different, Would anything have changed at all? Would anything be different, Or is everything meant to meant to, meant to fall But I can’t tell if this tunnel sealed my fate Oh I can’t tell if this is your free free will or is it fate

And It feels a little crazy how quickly we forget A 20 year invasion over bad intelligence Then you paint a little picture And were willing to pretend That they didn’t kill 300,000 innocent civilians Cuz History should remember them for exactly what they did Don’t let them rehabilitate Their public images Are you sad? You’re not sad enough Are you mad? (Are you mad?) You’re not mad enough For their war crimes, war crimes, war crimes They committed war crimes, war crimes war crimes They were given more time, more time, more time, Never forget They committed war crimes, war crimes war crimes They’re committed more crimes, more crimes, more crimes They were given more time, more time, more time, Never forget And it feels a little crazy how we willingly forget Been brainwashed by the military industrial complex You can paint a little picture and change it in our minds Then You go on Ellen telling everyone All of your little lies Well History should remember them For exactly what they did But we can’t be complicit in rehabilitating their image Are you sad? You’re not sad enough Are you mad? (Are you mad?) You’re not mad enough For their war crimes, war crimes, war crimes They committed war crimes, war crimes war crimes They were given more time, more time, more time, Never forget They committed war crimes, war crimes war crimes They’re committed more crimes, more crimes, more crimes They were given more time, more time, more time, Never forget Are you listening Are you listening? Oh my God? Are you listening? Oh no my God? Well You can paint a picture, a pretty little picture, But never did I picture this You can paint a picture, a pretty little picture, But never did I picture this Are you listening Are you listening

South Carolina, I feel it in the ocean the air South Carolina, I know too much not to care The voices in your head don’t make you feel better Second guess your confidence The voices in your head will slowly get better Till one day you don’t notice them Please just try and keep your head up No one knows where this will go It feels like we’ve all been set up Don’t give them one ounce of your hope South Carolina, Tell me where you want to go South Carolina, Fake it till you take control The first day here it never goes easy Everything is paved in gold Well the first time you were here you were young and still dreaming But now you are impossibly old Please just and to keep your head up Don’t let them take away your hope It seems like we’ve all been set up from the start, set up from the moment Don’t let them see the end of your rope South Carolina there’s nothing left for you to do South Carolina, what’s the use in being you? Please just try and keep your head up Don’t let them take away your hope It feels like we’ve all been set up from the start, set up from the moment? Don’t let them see the end of your rope I still feel it now even though I’m older, I cannot control I still feel it now when the weather's getting colder It’s hard to let it go Please don’t go, please don’t go away Please don’t go, please don’t go away Please don’t go, please don’t go away Please don’t go, please don’t go away Please don’t go, please don’t go away

And everyday you go out into the world You're faced with endless possibilities It doesn’t cost a penny to be nice So why would you ever be mean Why do some people feel so entitled For service only fit for a queen Life is short, it’s what you make of it so Why would you ever make a scene And I was staring, staring, staring, at a Karen, Karen, Karen I don’t need the manager, I want to speak directly to you And show you what you do The barest minimum that anyone can do is Treat you with a little respect This job is hard enough as it is Without someone breathing down your neck I see you’re angry and you’re getting upset Maybe take a breath and count to 10 This temper tantrum don’t look good on you Maybe act like an adult instead And I was staring, staring, staring, at a Karen, Karen, Karen I don’t need the manager, I want to speak directly to you And show you what you do And of course you believe in Jesus Christ Is somehow blonde hair, blue eyed, and white But are you practicing the message of your savior When you yelling at an underpaid broke teenager Oh Karen, I don’t really care to much for you Oh baby Karen, I’m tired of staring back at you And I was staring, staring, staring, at a karen, karen, karen I don’t need the manager, I want to speak directly to you And show you what you do And I was staring, staring, staring, at a Karen, Karen, Karen I don’t need the manager, I want to speak directly to you And show you what you do Oh Karen

Well I wouldn’t change the seasons Cuz I like how they change Sometimes the only reason Everyday doesn't feel the same And I think that it’s working Because I’m starting to feel it In this moment that we’re waiting through Will finally come to an end, and we can finally choose To spend a month in our bed, cuz we’ve have nothing to prove And we can finally rest Yeah we can finally rest And I woke up feeling better The sun was in the sky There is something bout this weather That makes you feel a little more alive Now the snow is finally melting There’s a flood across my street And this world has always felt things When there’s a new season to greet And I think that it’s working Because I’m starting to feel it In this moment that were waiting through Will finally come to an end and we can finally choose To spend a month in our bed, cuz we’ve got nothing to lose And we can finally rest Yeah we can finally rest It’s like I’m always waiting for one day That’s just a little out of reach Maybe I will get there some day But I, Just gotta make it through this week To a time where we feel Happy To A time we call our own To A time where we can enjoy ourselves From the, from the comfort of our home And I think that it’s working Because I’m starting to feel it In this moment that were waiting through Will finally come to an end and we can finally choose To spend a month in our bed, cuz we’ve got nothing to lose And we can finally rest Yeah we can finally rest Singing La da, la da da da da da da da La da, da da da da da da da da Singing La da, la da da da da da da da La da, da da da da da da da da Singing La da, la da da da da da da da La da, da da da da da da da da Singing La da, la da da da da da da da La da, da da da da da da da da

We found gold and oil In the ground underneath us We found bones, in the soil Our whole history beneath us I feel it in my veins I see it in the ocean I feel it on my skin (my skin) I see it plain as day I feel the end approaching I hear death on the wind I have fallen free from home hope Free from all distinction I’ve absolved freedom from hope Of our species own extinction Of all the planets in the world that they’ve found We have one that grows food And all the planets out there spinning round Ours has water and sunlight too And the sunlight Well it helps the plants make food And the plants grow tall and the seeds that fall Can turn into trees and fruit Everytime that we exhale Our trees can breath that in And everytime that trees breathe out We can inhale their oxygen Meanwhile, We are fighting wars over money and god But the only thing we’re not fighting for Is the only planet we can live on On and on and on It’s the only planet we can live on

It doesn’t take a body language expert To understand the look in your eyes Don’t need a polygraph with your nervous laugh To detect anymore of your lies It doesn’t take a climate science specialist To see the world is getting too warm We ignore the cries of our own demise Well It’s easier than being informed I don’t want to take my time my credit I don’t want lose control I don’t want to waste my time my credit I don’t want to turn to stone You look good on paper You look good in my arms You look good looking back at me As we're trying to mitigate harm Yeah we're trying to mitigate harm I’m not a spiritual adviser But I can read my own countries palm We sold the soul of our nation to the corporations Moving backwards till we can’t go on I’m not a Hieroglyph translator But I can read the writing on the wall Afraid to turn on the news, To see what else we’ll lose The rich get richer as they watch it fall I don’t want to take my time my credit I don’t want lose control I don’t want to waste my time my credit I don’t want to turn to stone You look good on paper You look good in my arms You look good looking back at me As we're trying to mitigate harm Yeah we're trying to mitigate harm But I Can’t shake this It’s like we're trying to lose Moving backwards Is such a foolish thing to do I don’t want to take my time my credit I don’t want lose control I don’t want to waste my time my credit I don’t want to turn to stone You look good on paper You look good in my arms You look good looking back at me As we're trying to mitigate harm We're trying to mitigate harm You look good on paper You look good in my arms You look good looking back at me As were trying to mitigate harm Were trying trying trying trying You look good on paper You look good in my arms You look good looking back at me As we're trying to mitigate harm We're trying trying trying trying

So tell me the story about the man Who built the world with his bear hands He Spent his days just counting sand then one day it washed ashore Someday I don’t know where my head goes Can’t see the ground beneath my toes Head in the clouds but no control It’s just an just illusion now, and illusion now Take your hand and come with me darling we’ve got a lot to see And I know that you’d believe in anything And it’s our time to feel alive Tired of trying to survive We’ve got nothing left to lose, but our memories And what would happen if you let go Nothing left to hold onto but hope Would the world crush you If you don’t hold your own head up now If I ever wash ashore All my dreams gone out the door Would you take me in and help restore me to the way I once was To the way I once was So Take your hand and come with me Darling we’ve got a lot to see And I know that you’ll believe in anything that you Can see But it’s our time to feel alive Tired of trying to survive We’ve got nothing left to lose, but our memories And believe me when I die The next day the sun will greet the sky I might be gone but my soul resides apart of everything Please don’t mourn me when I’m gone No funeral service, just sing this song There is nothing left of me, but my energy

I made you a promise And I gave you a ring You helped make me honest I tried to make you sing I could not have asked for more After all, after all I had done And I scaled up your castle wall After all, after all, I had won I used to wake up at night, cuz I couldn’t wait for the day But Now I stay up through the night, cuz I’m not ready to face The sunlight, The sun day, the sunrise, the sun fades away I wrote you a story I gave you a name I felt all the glory Every time you sang I could not have asked for more After all, after all I had done You scaled up my castle wall After all, after all, we had won I used to wake up at night, cuz I couldn’t wait for the day But Now I stay through the night, cuz I’m not ready to face The sunlight, The sun day, the sunrise, the sun fades away Is there anybody else? Is there anybody else? And there’s always someone else But they’re not like you And they’re not like you And I guess you could say I was nervous Even More than I thought I would be But how can you act, like you know for a fact How the rest of your lives gonna be The sunlight, The sun day, the sunrise, the sun fades away

You were just my type, and somehow I knew Was it at first sight, or did you look twice through I think I felt it in my bones when I was alone I guess you know it when you know Let’s build a home, and start a family Fill it with gold, and all our memories This is where I’ve been a long long time This is where I’ve been a long long time This is where I’ve been the whole damn time Next to you I know that you and I will live forever I know that you and I were meant to be In fact I think it’s time we finally get out We’ve taken this old road as far as, it will lead You were not my height, but you’re tall for you Seeing eye to eye on the follow through I heard you talking in your sleep last night I heard you saying you would be my wife Let’s build a home, and start a family Fill it with gold, and all our memories This is where I’ve been a long long time This is where I’ve been a long long time This is where I’ve been the whole damn time next to you I know that you and I will live forever I know that you and I were meant to be In fact I think it’s time we finally get out We’ve taken this old road as far as, it will lead And I know you never sleep, You’re up before the dawn I feel the warmth inside the sheets When I awake you’re always gone This is where I’ve been a long long time This is where I’ve been a long long time This is where I’ve been the whole damn time next to you I know that you and I will live forever I know that you and I were meant to be In fact I think it’s time we finally get out We’ve taken this old road as far as, it will lead You’ve got me feeling high You’ve got me feeling fine You’ve got me feeling high You’ve got me feeling fine
